The McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act assist children and families who are experiencing homelessness. The Acts definition of "homeless children and youth" are those who do not have access to a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. Through the McKinney Vento Act, if students qualify for the program they can receive various types of assistance including but not limited to technology for online learning, school supplies, and transportation.
